FAQ - Frequently asked questions about the Exter-Company

Welcome to our service area. Here you will find all information about our range of 1/35 scale military figures, shipping and technical tips for model making.

I. Products & Quality

1. What materials are the Exter-Company figures made of? We use high-quality resin or precision injection-molded plastic for our figures in order to guarantee maximum depth of detail for faces and uniforms.
2. Are the figures already painted? No, they are unpainted kits. This gives you complete freedom for individual design and historical painting.
3. How detailed are the figures in 1/35th scale? We attach great importance to maximum precision. Details such as buttons, equipment straps and anatomically correct features are excellently worked out in 1/35 scale.
4. Does the Exter-Company also offer accessories? Yes, in addition to figures, our range also includes weapon sets, helmets and diorama accessories in the appropriate 1/35 scale.
5. Are there exclusive figures? Look out for our "Exter-Signature" series. These limited edition sets are designed and produced exclusively for us.
6. Which eras are covered? Our focus is on the Second World War (WWII), but we also have figures for modern scenarios and the First World War.
7. Do you work together with historians? Yes, for our own productions we research in historical archives to ensure the correctness of uniforms and equipment.
8. Are decals (decals) included? For sets that require rank insignia or vehicle markings, high-quality wet decals are included.
9. Are there different poses? Our assortment ranges from static guard posts to highly dynamic action poses for combat scenes.
10. Are the heads interchangeable? Many of our figures are modular, which makes "kitbashing" (combining different kits) easier.

II Assembly & technique

11. Which glue should I use? Use conventional plastic glue for plastic kits. For resin figures, the use of superglue (cyanoacrylate) is mandatory.
12. Do the figures need to be primed? Yes. Priming ensures that your paints (acrylic or enamel) adhere optimally to the material and do not flake off.
13. Are printed assembly instructions included? No, separate instructions are not usually included. Assembly is logical from the components or the illustration on the packaging.
14. Do you offer ready-made color sets? Yes, we offer specially compiled color sets that are coordinated with the camouflage patterns and uniform colors of various armies.
15. What tools do I need to get started? We recommend a sharp scalpel, a side cutter for model making and fine sandpaper (grit 400 to 1000).
16. How do I remove casting burrs? Casting burrs can be carefully scraped off with the back of a scalpel blade or smoothed with a fine file.
17. Can I use the figures for tabletop games? Absolutely. The 1/35 scale is ideal for detailed skirmish systems and diorama competitions.
18. How do I clean resin figures? We recommend a short bath in lukewarm soapy water to remove any production-related residues of release agents.
19. Do you offer etched parts? Yes, we offer filigree photo-etched parts for professionals who want to depict details such as spectacle frames or belt buckles.
20. Where can I find painting tips? We recommend using specialized YouTube channels. There you will find excellent tutorials for techniques such as weathering and face painting.

III Shipping & logistics

21. How safe is shipping? We pack every order in specialized padded packaging so that even delicate parts arrive undamaged.
22. What are the shipping costs? The costs are calculated transparently during the check-out process based on the weight and your location.
23. Does the Exter-Company ship internationally? Yes, we deliver to the worldwide model making community.
24. How long is the delivery time? Goods in stock are shipped within 24-48 hours. Within Germany, delivery usually takes 2-3 working days.
25. Is there shipment tracking? Yes, you will automatically receive an e-mail with your tracking link after your order has been dispatched.
26. What do I do if parts are missing or damaged? Please contact our support team. We will immediately get in touch with the manufacturer, who will arrange for the appropriate replacement.
27. Is the packaging suitable for collection? Yes, we pay attention to sturdy cardboard packaging and an attractive box art design.
28. Do you offer express shipping? No. As DHL does not currently guarantee this service reliably, we only use fast standard shipping.
29. Can I pick up the goods on site? No, we are a pure online mail order business without a store or public traffic.
30. How sustainable is shipping? We use almost exclusively recyclable cardboard packaging and do not use plastic filling material wherever possible.

IV. Ordering & service

31. Is it possible to pre-order? No. In order to guarantee fairness, items can only be ordered once they have actually arrived in our warehouse.
32. What should I do if an item is sold out? Use the "Notify me when available" function directly on the product page.
33. Does the Exter-Company stock limited editions? Yes, certain small series are only produced once and are collector's items once they are sold out.
34. Can I reserve items? No, the principle of "first come, first served" applies.
35. Where are the figures produced? We work with the best foundries worldwide in order to maintain the Exter-Company quality standard.
36. What payment methods are available? We offer credit card, Klarna (purchase on account) and prepayment. PayPal is currently not available.
37. Can I cancel an order? Yes, as long as the goods are not yet in the shipping process, cancelation is possible without any problems.
38. Are there any loyalty points or discount systems? No, we calculate our prices as fairly as possible for all customers from the outset.
39. Do you offer gift vouchers? Gift vouchers are not currently listed as standard in the store, but can be created on individual request.
40. Is there a minimum order quantity? No, we are happy to receive every order, regardless of whether it is a single figurine or a large project.
41. How secure is my data? Security is a priority. We use modern SSL encryption for all transactions.
42. Who should I send praise or criticism to? Our support team welcomes your feedback by e-mail - we want to constantly improve for you.

V. Community & Security

43. What is the advantage of 1/35? It is the world's most common scale for military models, which allows for a huge selection of compatible vehicles and accessories.
44. Do you help in the search for rarities? Feel free to write to us. Through our network in the model building scene we can often help to find rare sets.
45. Can I show photos of my work on your website? This is not yet technically possible, but we are planning a gallery for customer work in the future.
46. Are the materials recyclable? We pay attention to high efficiency in logistics and use environmentally friendly shipping solutions.
47. Are there 3D-printed parts? Yes, we use modern 8K resin printing processes for extremely intricate details.
48. Are the products suitable for children? No. Due to small parts that can be swallowed and sharp components, we recommend our products for ages 14 and up.
49. Are there any health risks? Our materials are safe when handled properly. However, you should wear a mask for protection when sanding resin.
